hi.

the last 3-4 days the tracker "eztv.tracker.thepiratebay.org (77.247.176.154)"
does not respond to http requests on port 80 from any isp/network/anonymous
proxy i have tried. the tracker "tracker.thepiratebay.org (77.247.176.134)" and
other trackers from piratebay responds just fine.

i can almost always get the download through dht so it is not a big issue just a
bit annoying and i can obviously not seed to users on eztv that don't use dht or
peer exchange.

just wondering if more ppl than me have this problem. seems like the thread
"help!! torrents won't download!!" have some similarities.

you do not need to give me any instructions about clients or network settings,
i'v been working as a security/networktech. for many years, i just need to know
that i'm not alone 😉!

thank you! i did not think it could be anything like that since i tried from
different ips and different isps, seems they wore both blocked and maybe
bluetack lists most of the free anonymous proxies too...

i got it working just fine now.

well actually, i got what i think mite be a bit of a newbie question ... but i
also got my first ever infringement email the other day via my new crappy isp,
listing two trackers in the logs that i had alledgely used to alledgedy
download a file - cause well, u know i just would never do such a thing. 😛
anyway, the two trackers listed were the open trackers sumotracker.com
and torrent.to

in all my efforts to understand how trackers work, thru searches in forums at
phoenixlabs and various torrent sites, i see warnings about certain trackers
for tracking fakes/trojans/viruses/watching etc. but i cant ascertain how much
of it is legitmate info or just alarmist noob dribble - and as the op of
another recent thread mentioned, the trouble shooting help guides at the bt
client sites only go so far.

i spose what i wanna know is ... how much can open trackers unwittingly
contribute in regards to assisting our anti-piracy rivals? is it probably safer
not use open trackers that track almost every file released? that is, stick to
those more specific public trackers like eztv.thepiratebay or vtv.urkabel or
axxo.sladinki, etc. rather than say opentracker.thepiratebay or even worse,
that suss denisstalker?

or does dht, or some other thing, make all that obsolete anyway? is the tracker
u are on really relevant in those infringement logs?

sorry for all the questions ... but any thoughts, theories, or clarifications
from anyone?

*edit: to be betta understood :s *
