i have two quick questions.

i am using utorrent and its rss feed to receive rss from eztv. eztv, do you
think we can not include the episode titles in the torrent. when the title of
each episode is included the rss downloader does not recognize it from my
filter. it would be really helpful if the title was not included or someone
could post a workaround.

second question- i have set up a filter for the daily show and continually have
no luck. i have followed the rss tutorial on eztv but am still getting no luck
even when i include ?'s and *'s. does anyone have any advice here.

thanks

wow.

i'm stunned.

i was gonna post advice last night ("yeah, duuuuuuck!" ) , but didn't think
this thread would last the 30 seconds it would take to type.

and this morning, it's like looking into the lion enclosure where that toddler
had wandered in yesterday, and it's still there! i'm gonna call you st.
arktek, from now on.

but, basically, both of these sound like problems with your understanding of
using wildcards. google that, or find that elsewhere.

as for your proposed solution in the first question: you don't know where an
asterisk goes, so you want eztv to do what now? you should know that eztv
doesn't name any files - that's the fine folk who cap the shows.

but, seriously, re-read your query. doesn't it strike you as having a sort-
of, "dear world, please change because i'm getting a glitch" quality?

now, don't show any fear - just slooowly back up to and out the door.

i have really done everything the rss feed guide stipulated for the daily show
with no success what so ever. but no one has addressed how to filter out the
names of episodes from select shows. and i really appreciate the people who
actually did offer advice as i am sure that i am not the only person who has
questions about issues the rss tutorial cannot answer. but the d bags who are
so wonderful are appreciated.

ok so i now understand how to get the daily show to work using wildcards so
thanks above for that suggestion. for anyone who searches this post for an
anser to that problem simply put a star before and after the daily show and a
question mark between or *daily?show* i have tried searching for a way to use said
wild cards to get certain shows such as the big bang theory when the episode has
an episode title included. can anyone either suggest a way to do so or perhaps
provide details of how you can use these wildcards to do so in utorrent.

thanks

some of todays torrent links are directed to vtvs mininova section (e.g. himym,
colbert, daily show), resulting in those episodes missing from the eztv rss feed
on mininova. was this just a one time thing or do i have to add the vss rss feed
to my client aswell?

yeah just add the vtv feed as well. i had to do the same for regenesis a while
ago. just make make sure the previous show filters are set to work only with the
eztv feed so you don't get dupes.
