hi, i really hate the courier typewriter fonts used on the front page and
throughout - makes it difficult on the eye - please revert to arial to another
sans-serif please.

regards

agreed. i hate the runes and satanic symbols too. you'd think the site
designers would have more respect for people's sensibilities, wouldn't you? 😐

can't explain in detail, if i don't have detail (i.e., what browser you're
using). but if you're using ie, my guess would be that your text-size settings
have been changed.

in the menu at the top, click on "view." hover the cursor over "text size" and
a fly-out will let you change it.

*edit
there was a post here, from dornedec, saying text size is adjusted in firefox
by holding down control and using either '+' or '-' .

also (and this may have been what screwed you up in the first place), on a
microsoft wheel mouse, clicking (depressing) the wheel puts it
in "magnification" mode - resizing the text.

yes, you could try some of these other folks' solutions...
or if you are using firefox in windows, you can try the following short, easy steps:

1) download and install the personal menu extension for firefox by merci chao.
2) open explorer and go to the firefox install directory.
3) in the firefox install directory, go to the chrome subdirectory.
4) rename the file browser.jar to browser.zip
5) inside browser.zip, open the file contentbrowserbrowser.xul in a text editor.
6) find the following tags about half way down:

menuitem key="key_textzoomenlarge" label="&textzoomenlargecmd.label;"
accesskey="&textzoomenlargecmd.accesskey;" command="cmd_textzoomenlarge"
-and-
menuitem key="key_textzoomreduce" label="&textzoomreducecmd.label;"
accesskey="&textzoomreducecmd.accesskey;" command="cmd_textzoomreduce"

7) insert into each tag, respectively:

id="menu_textzoomenlarge"
-and-
id="menu_textzoomreduce"

8) save the file.
9) rename browser.zip back to browser.jar
10) close explorer.
11) in firefox, go to the options dialog for the personal menu extension.
12) in the first tab, click the add by id button.
13) enter menu_textzoomenlarge into the text field and click ok.
14) repeat steps 12 and 13 but enter menu_textzoomreduce instead of
menu_textzoomenlarge, then continue to step 15.
15) close the personal menu options dialog (you may need to restart firefox, but
i am not sure). now you are done!

you will soon experience the fantastic time-saving benefits of following these
overly-complex steps, now that you have reduced the number of mouse clicks
needed to access the increase and decrease text size menu functions by one whole
click! you'll wonder how you ever managed before adding this great
functionality! and the best part is, the entire process does not require you to
restart windows. not once!!

i spent many weeks developing this amazing solution just for your benefit! i
sincerely hope you find it useful. please let me know all the ways that this
solution has had a positive impact on your livelihood and
well-being.
