what happened here:

ignorant guy posts a complaint.

community flames him for bitching.

someone eventually drops a hint that you can filter your rss out.

ignorant guy learns and resolves his complaint.

community continues to flame.

newly non-ignorant guy never returns to thread.



what we can learn:

assume you are ignorant before posting.

cite your complaint then ask if there is a resolution.

community posts link to tutorial if there is a resolution.

you say thank you.

everyone feels better.
