sorry i didn't like it at all. i didn't care for the characters. the sex scenes were too much, and didn't serve any purpose. i won't watch it .... |

the first minutes were kinda funny, but the storyline is boring. im not 100% sure about these preair movies, but i was missing "the end"?! anyways, hopefully moonlight gets another season cuz so far, this is a waste of time! quality was fine btw |

can't comment on the quality or the content as i haven't watched it yet, but as for your comment on moonlight: check the forum here, bud. no less than 3 thread topics (that i've read) about how it's been canceled. |

the missing scenes and stuff are what was released (going by the fact there was a nice little message stating "missing scene 29") i doubt a proper would be released until the show actually airs. remember this is a pre-air release. i agree that the sex scenes were a bit much, and the show just didn't gel for me. i know its still early days, and because of that, i'll probably give it another go when it starts, but i won't be holding my breath for it. |

ok, i saw the show this afternoon. the end of the pre-air pilot seemed to be missing the last 25% of the plot from the first novel. also sookie in the tv show did not seem as bright as the sookie of the novels, but then again in the course of 8 novels the character has aged chronologically and learned a lot about her world.it may be that i simply can't recall the sookie of the first book all that well. the back story regarding the creation of synthetic blood "true blood" and how it led to the vampire "race's" decision to go public and push for equal rights was dealt with way to quickly during the first five minutes of the film. all in all i think the show has promise, and will be happy to watch the first few episodes when they air in the fall. |

it was very much like early x-files, although there was way to much on-screen kissing with cheesy music... no man enjoys that unless it's girl on girl, and they're both hot. still i have high hopes for improvement and i can wait to see more episodes |

man o man i expected this to be way better, it was a joke, i mean i am from louisiana and we don't even talk anywhere near that, they sounded like they were hick texans in trailer park central! man, they could of at least done homework on how people from louisiana really talk, total disgust and the vampire hillbilly twangy accent thing is just ridiculous! could have been much better! not worth the watch, waste of an hour! |

i quite enjoyed it - what was there at least. i'll be looking forward to the actual pilot ep so i can see the whole thing, because there's no way it's supposed to just end like that. |

i was completely fascinated, they followed the book very closely.. perhaps with the exception of tara. a true louisiana deep woods accent would have been completely unintelligible to 99% of the audience.. so they had to make do. still, a louisiana accent is very sexy.. the sex was appropriate to the books and to hbo.. and the actress who played sookie did an excellent job. hopefully the series will be picked up..if hbo reads this, you got a hit! |

guess i'm the only one who thought it ended just fine, you could hear end-title music swelling up. i thought the two lead guys'(bartender/horny brother) acting was pretty bad, even worse was the best friend's histrionics. very well-filmed intense sex scene with a vampire, and some pretty awful dialogue, but i managed to watch it all, and that's a good thing i think! thanks eztv |

ok, so i love vamp-stories, mostly. but this show...i don\'t get it, there really wasn\'t even a story, and am i the only one who thinks the vamp was weak? (before he needed resqueing) it was too forced. instead of showing \"emotion\" the characters kept staring (at each other?). it was very slowpaced and the sex scenes came out of nowhere. the acting was bad! but it\'s a pilot, so who knows.. |

i'm going to have to go against the majority and say that i actually enjoyed this. sure, it wasn't perfect, and it's easy to find faults with it, even disregarding the fact that this pre-air isn't actually the completed version. however, with rare exception, you can say the same about pretty much every pilot episode ever created. i'm not complaining, but i do find this shows existence odd, given that both blood ties and moonlight were axed so recently. i mean, it shows that production companies know that there's a market for this kind of genre show, but conversely, as shown with the two shows just listed, they don't seem to want to give them a decent chance if viewing figures aren't immediately stratospheric. as it's an hbo show though, hopefully they will give it a chance to find it's feet. |
