don't think it was too much different from the pre-air... only in that it escalates it from 'worst vampire show' to 'worst show outright'... |

let me say this first - the scene with sookie being assaulted outside of the bar is where my downloaded file ended. is this where the televised episode ended, or was the file incomplete? without the closing credits there is no way for me to know if the file was complete or incomplete when it ends the way this one seems to have. i would urge the uploader to please take that into consideration. at first i thought my new "plays anything" dvd player was misbehaving... or that the disk i had burned the file to was defective... then i checked the download on my computer and then went to this forum... assuming the file that i downloaded was complete - based on what i read in this forum - i have to say that i would have prefered a 2 hr segment rather than have the episode end the way that it did... in mid-kick, you could say! but having read all of the charlaine harris novels (and was that one of the sookie novels that grandma was reading at the kitchen table?) i have to say that episode 1 did justice to the first part of the first novel. and charlaine harris herself claims to be quite pleased with what she has seen so far. finally - this show doesn't pretend to be a buffy clone or wannabe. comparing the first episode of a new show to a series that lasted 6 or so years is absurd. let's at least let the current storyline play out before making judgements. admin : please read the faqs. the probability of the scene reading your post is as high of that of a checking producing milk |

hmmmmm you wait 10 years and suddenly stephen moyer is a vampire again. perhaps thats all he can do... he played jack the vamp in ultraviolet (1998) uk tv series. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0169501 ![]() and his us southern accent is wellllll dodgy. dunno if the show gonna be anygood? i liked moonlight and miss it greatly. i dont think that i will get into true blood... |

it looks like they re-shot a lot of it. i watched the pilot right after the pre-air and i noticed subtle differences in some of the scenes. the fat lady in the hardware store, the pool table shot, the customer at the bar. some costume changes too. apart from that, the script is the same. looks like a great show. |
