i've been downloading the class from eztv and i've noticed most of the episodes
have been capped by xor. since xor releases are 608x336 i can't put them on dvd
without them having and extremly and almost unwatchable sqwashed screen size if
you know what i mean. they are ok when i play them on my computer. anyone know
how to make them a normal screen size on a dvd. i use intervideo creator 2 for
making dvd's.

i use vso divx2dvd or vso convertxtodvd, then use shrink to compress the
resulting video ts folder to dvd 5 size and burn away. it will convert to 16:9

i have been using nero visionexpress 3 for making my 2 pass dvd's.
i have converted xor stuff before and nero will do 1 of 2 thing's.
i leave it on auto on everything i just change the 1 pass for 2 pass.
it will 1 change it to (letter box) black lines at top and bottom, or will re-
encode to 16:9.
nero has always been ok for my dvd's 1 pass is quicker than a 2 pass but i
don't mind the time it takes.

or you could try (winavi converter) that will do dvds quickly for you.
it will even change your codec for you for xvid to divx and stuff it is a good
all round converter.

to re-encode a 400 meg file down to 350 meg.
(auot-gk) is a free program that converts most file to xvid or divx.
it's not to hard to use and you get very good encodes with that too.
you will just tell it the file size you want and select the codec you want it
in and press (start) you can also change the screen size and alter the sound
too.
in the advanced setting but if you leave it to auto that will do a good job too.
as you get to know the program you will learn to get your encodes just the way
you like them.
it is a program i use allot and best of all it's free.
their is also a good help section on the (auto-gk) web site too.
