each episode of fringe is supposed to only have 10 minutes of commercials, which means that the episode should then of course be about 50 minutes long. if you watch this episode there is a noticeable point of confusion in which the plot jumps drastically. i thought it was just bad writing. turns out i never noticed the 8 minutes missing. the entire episode does work though, without those 8 minutes. |

now that it is clear that this episode is nuked, and not for some minor non archival reason (no offense to the archivers) but that either eight or nine minutes are missing, is there any reason why eztv is still advertising it for new downloads? surely this compromises their excellent cred. i know that is extra work but the previous version still has 4779 seeds and 18331 leechers. i just weep about the wasted bandwidth that could be used in downloading the proper. this is not a complaint about eztv who, i think, is far and away the best distributor. just concerned about the adverse effects on those with limited quotas and the subsequent ill will towards the site. even now, as i type, someone could, and by the look of it probably did, look at the main page and saw the nuked version has almost nine times as many seeders and went for that one. even if the torrent can't be removed because of current usage, could the description on the main screen be changed? this isn't personal, i downloaded before the problem became known. early adopters bear the burden of expense in any release (vid, software or hardware). i don't know what can be done, but it seems such a waste. btw, thanks to eztv and to the releasers. just sorry to the releasers that speed of distribution scores more points than quality. |

simple solution for those with limited bandwidth or just those who don't want to download something twice. wait. how simple is that huh? instead of jumping on a torrent right when it comes out, wait a few hours or even until the next day. this way you can ensure that what you get is in working order. and theres so many seeders theres no need to complain about the amount of time it takes to download something. |
