this was a tragedy... how come the movie was so much better than this? they
tried to throw everything into one episode. i'm not liking it at all.
they pretty much expect you to know the characters before they even introduce
them. it all seems like a jumbled mess. and really. a freaking truck. ugh. i
dunno what they were thinking. i can't see this lasting. although kilmer does
make a great kitt

guys, this is not for us 80s oldschool boys. it's for the kids. and they
fracking love a car that does all this cool transforming stuff.

[insert broken record here]
lol, you gotta love all the armchair critics! people if you don't like it and
think it's awful then why are you *not* out there making better stuff yourselves
to impress everyone with?
...
yup, thought so!
[remove broken record]
i haven't watched it yet, but i have been waiting for it since seeing the pilot,
and i will be getting the 720p version to watch soon.
as some have said: it's entertainment, don't take it too seriously because
apparently it doesn't. heck if it wasn't for the occasional predictable joke
(you know, the sort where you say "i saw that one coming" or "i knew they were
gonna say that" ) they might not keep everyone happy. you've only gotta look at
some of the "horror" movies to see that you don't have to take it too seriously
all the time for it to work.
case in point: the slapstick supernatural type stuff in the pirates of the
caribbean movies - classic stuff, predictable at times, but still funny.

oh and balu ... who says all this transforming stuff isn't for us 80's kids -
that's exactly where the transformers came from i'm sure you remember.
"they pretty much expect you to know the characters before they even introduce
them."
i haven't seen this ep yet, but i'm guessing they are expecting that you have
watched the pilot first, and have seen the character introductions in that.

how about keeping your spoilers to yourself you fucking idiot?

so when d'ya think kitt will have to fight optimus prime?
bet someone listened to their kids when writing this,
"daddy wouldn't it be good if kitt woz just likes my transformer toys! better
make it like i wants it daddy or i'll tell mummy how you make me lick the meaty
lollipop till the spurty sauce comes."
yes, as others have mentioned, this show sucks and blows and then some.
(p.s. but the video and audio quality are fine....watch at your own peril...)

"how about keeping your spoilers to yourself you f..."
mcbrite: was that directed at me? if so then you obviously didn't read my
previous posts. which part of "i haven't seen this ep yet" and "i haven't
watched it yet" do you *not* understand?? how can i spoil something i haven't
even seen myself yet, nor even seen a trailer for? i am only making comments
based on what others have said before (that haven't been edited by admin) and
that you would have seen if you had read the whole thread. as for the name
calling, 2 can play at that game ... i'm thinking that because you apparently
haven't read the whole thread maybe your nickname should be mcdull rather than
mcbrite.
we could go at this for ages, but i won't be stooping to your level of command
of the english language. fun and games ...

i have to agree. the moment i saw kitt turn into a truck (i mean
come-on a
truck) in the first 5 mintues - i knew that it was all downhill from here.
turn into a truck??? when did kit become a transformer? thanks for the warning
i'll save my bandwidth.
lol, a truck

god damnit, i'm feeling all flash-like all over again.
this is great. i'm with dornedec. i loved it's simplicity.
i feel that so may people want it to be something else, but its not, and hence
hate ensues. i'm diggin' it for its absolute ihazcheese-in-your-face'ness, as i
did with flash.
sadly, its the kooks who bag shit to death, that kill these shows. humor-nazis.
so i don't hold my breath, but i'm certainly gunna enjoy this
giggle-athon-bullshit-fest while it lasts. i wish there was more than 28% humor
in the torrent watching business.. you fools kill great shows, while other
braindeads make shit like american idol last forever.. duhhhh him sings gooder,
i watch again duuuuhh.. oo
shhh now, watching the telly.. 8]

well, *now* i've watched it i can make some informed comments. (oh, and i
watched the pilot again first, to refresh my memory, then watched this - 2.3
hours well spent i think)
wrecche: i'd have to agree with you, mostly, but not about the simplicity bit.
they set up a few different stories that i'm sure will be followed up on. i
don't necessarily agree with every decision the creative team made, but hey,
it's their show and i can still enjoy it as it will be.
numaris: i second those thoughts! anyone watching this ep having not seen the
pilot should do themselves a favour and watch the pilot first.
now to the "transformers" comments ... well, for those talking about an optimus
prime style "truck" are, to put it mildly, exaggerating. it's not the optimus
style semi-trailer kind of truck, it's the kind of thing that americans would
call a truck, (you know, the "hey, check out me truck" type vehicle) but pretty
much everyone else wouldn't. 'nuff said by me on that one, any more would be
spoiling. to anyone who didn't watch it based on those comments i say "don't
believe everything you read". see it for yourself and then make up your own
mind, rather than have others make it up for you.
as for the tech/cgi angle, well, that was established in the pilot: kitt is
basically a fusion of advanced ai and advanced nanotech. in reality we're only
just beginning to explore the possibilities of that sort of tech and noone
really know just how far it will go in perhaps only 20 to 30 years or so. with
the computer power that will be cheaply available then, and the potential of
nanotechnology something like kitt may well be perfectly possible, and if so
will probably look like cgi effects. we just don't know right now. meanwhile,
it's good fun scifi fodder.
just remember people: it's entertainment, not hard science. in that light i
think it does the job quite well, and i for one will continue to watch.

holy f**k
i finally got around to watching this.
after watching the pilot, i had high hopes...until i saw this episode.
i can't say anything specific without spoiling so all i can say is
that this seems like a b movie with a slightly bigger budget.

finally got a chance to watch last knight (excuse the pun), the movie was ok,
this episode was ok, it looks to be a lot more thought was put into back story
of 'michael knight' then in the original series :- more potential to be more
than a weekly 'lets save this weeks damsel' scenario.
as for the 'truck' spoiler ....... tahts not a truck... this is a truck
hehe, yup, that's definitely a truck ... some might even say it's a truck and a
half! (and then some) can't say i'd want to try driving one of those things though.
as for the puns ... just have a look at the episode titles (i find epguides.com
really handy for that): "knight" in every one so far (ok maybe they slipped up
on one and used "night" instead). seems like they are continuing a tradition
from the original series and frequently using "knight" in episode titles.
dornedec: btw, you should be able to delete your own posts with the option at
the top of the post in question (just like you can edit your own posts).
