Merlin Pre'd a Hour ago...

i've noticed eztv is slipping alot over the past few months, understandable that
people are busy but this much... well.

heroes pre'd well over 4 hours before it showed up here this week. it was on
every public tracker before eztv. (and in 720p before 480p)

merlin pre'd a hour ago and is sitting there on usenet and public trackers right
now. (btw peeps, usenet = latest releases at your max line speed)

whats going on eztv? you've been the best public site for ages, yet everything
seems to be going downhill for the past month or so...

please give us reasurance...

i created this post to express concern about eztv being that last in the public
torrent race so to speak... i was not whining, just stating that every public
site is
beating eztv at the moment and it concerns me. who here likes the s*** speeds
they get from other sites? eztv has the most seeds/peers ratio allways so best
public speeds.

merlin is even posted on newzbin now (though n00bs like the two above probably
have no idea what that usenet is)

i only created the post hoping eztv would be able to increase there upload times
back to what they used to be (1-2 months ago), i dont want to see my fav torrent
site fall to the ground. and i clearly stated i understand that the
admins/uploaders are busy. i only posted this because the lesser public sites
where getting things hours earlier!

what to say... well firstly, if we are about racing everyone else, i would
easily change how our whole release system works so that as soon as something
pres we have it on the site with 0 seeds. but this is not how we work. we
deliver content with a large group of volunteer seeders that can push out speeds
more than 100mb/s. this can sometimes take time to prepare when there can be 15+
shows coming out at one time (hd, 720p as well), this can sometimes take time to
balance out. this is what we are about. now, as you also know, us people who run
this site are also all volunteers and we try to have lives as well. eztv isn't
the only thing we do everyday, we go out, have friends, get drunk, you know...
like normal people (that is normal right?) so sure, some shows can come out
later than expected. sue us. we try our best to be first, but it is never our
primary objective, bandwidth is what we are purely about.

i'd join you in your expedition for flamewars, but aydin has previously warned
me off troll hunting (even so i do like to leave the occasional door open to see
what buzzes through).

now, that said i will be throwing a few beers down my neck this afternoon while
watching the match, so you may get a recruit after all. whether you want one or
not.

i'm just really worried about nova. 'cause the person who posted earlier is not
our nova.

where is novaking?? or more accurately, what happened to novaking?? 😛

People who load 100 or more episodes at once, of anything, are idiots. Most of the episodes won''t load anyway.
