Why does the VPN warning still come when i'm using vpn? It believes i am in the country my vpn is set

I am wondering about the Flags that are attached to some Peers. Many of them just sit there and they halt the entire process. Is
there any way around this? I seed everything until it stops by itself. I do not put limits on anything.

VPN Help

It seems I need to log off my VPN so I can cast to chromecast or firestick because everything needs
to be on the same network,

Is there a way around this? Is it possible to use 2 NICs and direct the VPN through one and use
the other for casting and other home network things?

I'm using Linus Mint 19.1
