hi everyone,

sorry for the newbie question, but what's the difference between hr and regular
hdtv, other than the bigger (double) filesize?

is the video quality that much better or is it just the 5.1 ac3 audio instead of
mp3 that makes it that big.

thanks!

sorry if this is already covered.

hr-high resolution
960x540 (compared to 624x352 or thereabouts)
bear in mind, it can be 2.0 ac3 as well.

yes, the video quality is that much better. a must if you want to watch it on an
hd tv imo. or even just on your computer.. it looks a lot better.

i don't download the same show twice, but here are two screenshots.. the first
from an hr of heroes, and the second from a regular rip of stargate atlantis.

when blown up to full screen the difference is quite noticeable.

check out the screencaps on this site:
h**p://www.540torrents.com/about.php

everyone will argue to the death over whether the 350mb is just as good as the
hr 700mb.... but once you actually see screenshots that are nearly twice the
size, sitting side-by-side.. the arguement basically becomes moot..
you are going to see a difference in quality when you blow it up to
fullscreen, no matter what type of monitor/tv you watch it on..
