like i said thecadict, the next episode looks very promising but this one just seems like filler for
the next one.
thcaddict Posted at 26/12/2009, 17:26
yeah, i didn't mean anything harsh by that. as far as filler goes, to me it wasn't an episode for the sake of making an episode. it doesn't really stand up in its own right, but like you said it sets up the next episode,
and i think the next series. a true filler episode has no real effect on canon or the story line, and if you
never see it you never miss anything. most of the time 'to be continued' is implied, here is was explicit,
so it may be best to consider our christmas gift from the bbc as one long episode that is just too awesome
to see in one sitting. the only thing i know for sure is david tennant will be missed.

im not going to lie to you "worst episode ever!" infact the only redeeming quality is that
it might
be infact that the 2nd part of this might be the "best epsiode ever!" but we have to wait for that
huh. marketing scheme , make part one incredibly shity, make episode 2 amazing. were all going to
come back to it, cause were zombies who love this stuff.

i saw this coming a mile away, which is why i decided after watching the the waters of mars, to not
watch the xmas episode until i had the second part from new years.

i'm guessing by your reaction, that part 1 feels more like half an episode and not a full episode - kinda like
taking your favorite tv show, and only watching half of one episode, and then waiting a full week to finally
watch the other half. if you did that, you could pretty much 'ruin' any tv show. i kinda figured it was going
to happen this way, so i am glad that i decided to abstain watching the the end of time until i have
the whole thing in hand, next week/month/year.

am i the only one that enjoyed watching this episode? i think the way they are using it to replace
david tennant it extremely well done and i can't wait to see how they replace him completely. i'm
not going to lie i'm not impressed as to the choice of the new doctor however if they succeed in the
change seamlessly i'll be more then happy to continue watching the series.

i don't see any episodes as bad (or as you put it, worst)
this is doctor who, a sifi about time travel.
every episode is a potential seed for another.
