channel 9 in australia is advertising new content this new year.

the three shows its flogging are...

the nine ... lol seeing as its looks to be a one season show that didn't air
fully in america and got axed.

kidnapped ... another show that aired badly and went on hiatus.

and help me help you.. a third show thats looks to have an uncertain future and
poor viewer numbers.

i hope nine bought the shows cheap.

cause if aussies get hooked and only get 8 eps of each or at the most a season
they will be a little disapointed shortly.

ch9 got screwed this year - virtually every show they bought at the start of the
fall season is now cancelled/shelved.

ch7 on the other hand has bought basically everything that was hugely successful
- whoever was in charge of purchasing is looking at a fat bonus this christmas
i imagine. 😉

do you think dexter would ever make it to australia ?

i've watched it all except for tonights season final and i don't know which
network would touch it.

its an amazing show but very violent / slightly disturbing themes.

i don't think the commercial networks have the stones to air it over here and
sbs couldn't afford it.

i\'d say foxtel would look at airing dexter. personally the content isn\'t for me,
but i\'ve heard many great things about it.

ch7 have been lucky in the last few years with the shows they\'ve bought doing
well in the states. heroes is being promoted *already* for airing in late
jan/early feb.

they scored big with lost and desperate housewives last year too.

i think ch9 also picked up smith , another cancelled show.

on the upside, they are showing weeds :d
