i agree. immerse is obviously a selfish nub - he should be hand delivering it right to your front door, in a player and with a 30" wide screen hdtv. how dare he provide such a substandard feature, as offering you worthy lot something for free. and ^^ who claims he pays a lot for this? best get onto the scene about that. i'm sure if you're paying someone for these files, you're missing the mark somewhere. |

the link to fix these files does not work. anyone have another link or tutorial? getting wd (or any other manufacturer) to release firmware to remedy this is unlikely. while i am not ungrateful, i wish immerse would encode in such fashion to enable the best playability across as many systems as possible. |

here's the workaround for wdtv people. http://www.matroska.org/downloads/mkclean.html it worked for me and i'm asking wdtv to give us a firmware update... not holding my breath on that one. |

not everyone uses a pc to play these files. i'm using a cyclone mkv and haven't been able to play a high-def episode since 3x06. i'm not complaining but wish the encoding hadn't changed half way through the season. |

i routinely use quicktime 7 (snow leopard) to quickly convert .mkv tv releases, for use as a 2 channel .mp4 file on the ps3. works well for the most part. otherwise i have to use other solutions. but immerse's efforts over the last month have been sucktacular. not only do they have the header compression problems (which they could choose to disable permanently) but i've been getting conversion problems even after fixing the headers. this particular file won't even load in quicktime. (yes, i used pars.) give it up immerse. your stuff is rubbish, free or not. |

i'm in agreement with most of the members here. why did immerse go and change the way the files get encoded seeing that they were working fine in the first place? most annoyingly is that it was done half way through the season. like most members we are grateful that these episodes are made available to us, but why the sudden change? if it ain't broke, don't fix it. btw: not sure if i can mention where, but i have found another source where 720p episodes are available and there isn't any issues. if i can get permission by the moderators then i will post the link or the name of the site and the files to look for. |

everybody stop whining and download vlc player, the newest ffdshow codec package and perhaps also matroska splitter.. if your piece of shit pc still cannot play the file, throw the thing out of the window. and if you have a mac, well, you got what you signed up for.. never had any problems with any file that i have downloaded from eztv.. |

thanks for wasting everyone's time with that lape. not everyone wants to use vlc in their lounge rooms and home cinemas, mate. your pet choice isn't mine. the simple fact is that these immerse releases have been screwed up. other groups manage to get it right. as for the mac gibe, grow up. |

oh i'm wasting everyone's time? that's an interesting statement since i just provided the tools to play these files on pc and the only thing you have managed to do so far is whine about how immerse sucks monkeyballs and their efforts are not satisfactory to your royal highness.. i didn't say that everybody should start using vlc as their primary player (it's not my primary player either). but if you have to do everything the difficult way and you enjoy complaining on this forum, be my guest.. also, i actually own an iphone. it's great. i love it. but as for the "grow up" remark, ouch, it seems i sank your battleship! have a nice day. |

please post the link!! i've been downloading the true blood "internal.720p.hdtv.x264-sys" files each week because of all the problems with the immerse files, but for some reason, i cannot find the internal version of this episode! thanks. |
