Trojans in Mininova

hi guys,

i just wanted to ask if any of you have been having a bad experience using
mininova.org. lately it's been so slow and my antivirus has been detecting
trojans from their main page (not from those redirected from eztv). so far,
there have been similar incidences reported in mininova's forum and the other
person who reported it is also from the philippines. anyway, we're both
detecting vbs/psyme and exploit-vml.fill trojans. luckily my av is updated and
it removes the trojans as they're detected. someone else reported getting
trojan-downloader.js.agent.bi (which i haven't gotten). any similar incidences
elsewhere?

i got an alert from there once. nowadays, with my firewall, av, firefox & the
adblock extension and i haven't gotten any alerts so i'm guessing the trojans
are embedded in the ads, which are blocked on my machine.

that's horrible though. i'm sure many people who aren't well protected have been
affected by it.

yeah and i'm sure their site gets thousands of visitors a day. anyway, thanks
for mentioning the adblock extension, i'm going to get it 🙂
