can you not use thetvdb.com to get the artwork ?

they have a very simple to use http/xml api

just load the following url to search for a show:-
http://www.thetvdb.com/api/getseries.php?seriesname=suspect%20behavior

get the seriesid (e.g. 168151) from the xml data that is returned

then you need an api key to use the next command
http://cache.thetvdb.com/api/< ;apikey>/series/168151/en.xml

which tells me :-

banner is here:- graphical/168151-g.jpg
poster is here:- posters/168151-2.jpg
fanart is here:- fanart/original/168151-2.jpg
