1.5gb for a half-hour show, are they kidding? maybe, possibly, if it was ripped from a blu-ray, but it's a tv
capture, the quality is not that high to start with, and just does not justify the high bit rates we see here.

dimension seems to want to be the new immerse.

sure, experiment with different encoding standards, but going up to extreme bit rates, that cause file sizes
to double is not heading in the right direction.

1.5gb is seriously a joke. i mean if you quadrupled it so it was 2 hours - are they saying the quality is
good enough for it to be worth 6gb in size to match a blu-ray sourced 720p movie with dts? i highly
doubt it. this is tv source.

what the hell is going on with these episodes and sizes? i thought these tv groups had certain
standards. every single week we are getting way different sizes for the same length of time on
entourage. episode 1 was 800mb, episode 2 was 1.2gb, episode 3 was 1gb - i mean come on, there is
no need for such size differences when the show length hasn't changed. the scene used to have rules -
is anybody actually following them?

i always convert these 720p videos down to 480p. still looks great on my 32" and filesize is cut in
half at least.

the trouble is tv sourced content does not require levels of 18 or 19.

20, 21 or even 22 would be more suitable.
