it's up to him if he does. they probably take down thousands per week. it's the
same as people who sell dodgy dvds on ebay - none of them are in jail (well,
very very few)

this what is classed as sgf - screamy girl fever, when everyone starts
panicking needlessly 😉

copyrighted ones

viacom recently filed a list of 100,000 videos that youtube needed to pull
because of copyright infringement. viacom is the owner of mtv and comedy
central. the list included illegaly posted tv clips. jimmy kimmel, cobert
report, and many music video clips that viacom has rights to were posted on youtube.

to fill this request by viacom, youtube could not go through their library
completely to winnow out viacom held videos. programs that select out copyright
materials based on music or tempos played in the video, as well as key notes and
vocals, get pulled instead. many people have regular videos in which a song is
simply playing in the background, and the program will detect this video and
delete it from the servers.

if a video gets pulled, there is no need to be nervous of a suit. the video got
pulled by an auto-detection system. youtube is in the business of precting
clients. youtube officialy offered apologies to viacom taht they are losing the
valuable advertising service that youtube provides them for free.

another valuable strike for freedom of intellectual property.

that really sux if people who make their own clan/player videos from games and
they use many hours making those and if there's some track in it playing on the
backround then that auto-detection system removes it.

i mean where goes the line of freedom of art ?
that's so wrong in my opinion.

if i may make a suggestion....
now that viacom has finished its demand, repost the video.
also, viacom plans on making its own 'splitoff' from youtube with some other big
players, including fox.
