you might want to remove the last 3 lines of that post, probably not a good idea
to put your ip address on here!

also, where are you? usa? if so, other people in the us have posted similar
notifications. i think it was mostly from shows on hbo like entourage.

i'm in the us, i thought it was interesting that it was a show that was free
over the air. i wouldn't think that fox would be loosing enough money to
bittorrent that they would justify pursuing or that they would be doing it on
principle.

fox need as much money as they can get before they stop making the simpsons! 😉

well, when you say `free over the air` bear in mind the old adage `there's no
such thing as a free lunch`.

the us broadcast setup is utterly dominated by the market forces of
advertising.

personally i think the broadcast companies are more scared of losing a pair of
eyeballs to beam 20 minutes of adverts at, per broadcast hour, than some
potential dvd sale an unspecified time down the line, of which they get a much
smaller revenue from anyway. 😉

besides - most dmca action is initiated on behalf of the production and
distribution companies. who actually airs it isn't really of much
relevance.

i just got busted by my isp for 'sharing' battlestar galatica.

they put my account in quarantine, meaning i got dial-up speeds and no e-mail.
they didn't even notify me until i called them. i got a first warning and the
'don't do it again' speech.

they put your account in quarantine, restricted you to dial up speeds and
stopped your email, why didn't you tell them to f-off?.

this particular isp is the only one of two in my area that offers the best
bandwidth and support.

i don't know what 'peer guardian' is (ah, google explains all) no, i was not
running an 'unwanted connect protection system'.

so is us once more.... and maybe not a bad idea to run peerguardian2

http://phoenixlabs.org/pg2/

i even run double protection... the above and the plug-in for azureus:

http://azureus.sourceforge.net/plugin_details.php?plugin=safepeer

of course nothing is 100% sure but better than going commando.

even if i live in a country where downloading is perfectly legal, uploading is
frowned upon but so far did not hear of any ips warning or else... but as it is
said better safe than sorry.

safepeer is too much buddy it's panic mode i just use peerguardian blocking
anti-p2p everybody else welcome to connect especially edu i need them hehe

right now i'm having problem with rcn with limited tracker updates so whoever
reading this please stop making private torrent and let dht enabled 🙂

i don't really care that much to be honest. i only download cos they take their
sweet time getting the shows onto uk tv (or not at all in the case of survivor).
as far as i'm concerned - i still buy the dvds when they are released for
everything i watch, so they're still getting their money, so they can kiss my
fat ass!

they can kiss my ass too.

i pay for cable tv so either way eventually they get my money. personally i
don't think it should matter if i watch it today or when it's on cable. if i
had a mate in the us or uk taping the show and posting it to me no one would
give a damn.

the networks shouldn't treat us like shit, maybe they wouldn't have this
problem.
