hi gatefan, i hear exactly what you are saying and agree with your comments about firefly and invasion for that matter!(ha) daybreak was ok until episode 10 where they should have really just left it. for them to have commissioned another season would have been like flogging a dead horse. (played out springs to mind - lol) and by the way i'm british apologies if this as come out twice. |

yeah i know about that. its why it never got a sequel. budget of $40mill, only made $38mill worldwide. and everything that you said about day break - i agree completely. obviously this moron kabigon hasn't got a clue about nielsen ratings and the such lol |

honestly gatefan, do you have to be such a douche? i don't think i've seen you contribute to a thread where you aren't an obnoxious petulant arse. oh, and serenity made us$38m in worldwide box office sales as of april 2006. and then you add on the sales of the dvd/hd-dvd etc before you can get to the actual takings of the film. as for it not having a sequel, that is still uncertain. unless, you happen to be one of the people at universal who decides what gets made. these decisions can sometimes take years to make. i think it's time for you to go to an anger management class as this type of behaviour is far from acceptable in todays society. |

i like telling people they suck. it's fun :-) come home from a rubbish day at work, see somelike being a retard about tv - and tell them they're being a moronic retard. i just looked at the stats on imdb pro and just took an estimate at $33mill. when a movie bombs out like it did, then 95% certainty that it won't be getting a sequel. behaviour? if people don't tell people they're stupid - they keep thinking they're smart. then there's a problem. look at bush - i'm guessing nobody told him he was stupid until he got into office. if they had - maybe we wouldn't have 132,000 troops in iraq wasting money and time. |

i don't think the problem is just bush. after his first term it was quite obvious that the guy was a bit deficient in the intelligence department. yet, the american public decided to keep him as commander in chief when they had the chance to get shot of the pleb. so, it's safe to say that the american voting public are morons and catch on extremely slowly. maybe that's why serenity didn't do well at box office and only later when released for home consumption. bear the above in mind when generalising the british as not having a clue next time. |

being american is hardly anything worth boasting about now is it? oh, but yes you do seem to know a lot about american tv and what's good and what's not. so much so that i suspect you work at abc in charge of deciding when they cancel all the good shows and extend all the crap ones. team america, f*ck yeah! woohoo! |

why the hatred, little brother? because he said it could make a firefly comeback? day break has built quite the following actually and the only reason it was cancelled is because the network was incredibly stupid and marketed it to the wrong people... add to that the internet downloads and tivo, they never even knew how many people watched it. firefly was scifi so of course there's always going to be a cult after a couple episodes aired... i mean... there was a protest for every show that was cancelled, double the size if they were scifi but then again threshold got cancelled and people screamed it was the best scifi show since star trek! lmao! so anyway... chill out... and don't bring flags into it because "you're not american, right?" is the argument of losers... it's like saying someone is a "commie" for criticizing the government and if you're not stephen colbert, that's not funny. |

a) i'm australian b) day break's premise allows for an unlimited number of seasons with new casts. it's perfectly plausible. c) serenity was not the comeback i'm refering to here, but rather that firefly gained most of it's fans post-tv. day break season 1 has so far proven that the premise is intruiging and suspenseful enough that it could continue with a different case and a different cast. it wouldn't even have to be about a murder or conspiracy as such. |
