can any one tell me what expressions they us in their filter to download
episodes of 24, without inadvertently downloading episode 24 of another show?

yep, i'm chinese - but british born, so i'm not very good at reading chinese
(in fact i'm pretty rubbish)!

yep. \\b24\\b would work for nearly all cases, but we can make it a little
more definitive with ^24\\b

the ^ means that it only matches at the very start of the string.
