How To Submit Images - for use on a Show Information Page

if you would like to submit an image for use on one of our show information pages,
please upload your atwork to an image/file hosting site such as, bayimg.com, imageshack.us,
imgur.com, tinypic.com, etc., then post the url in this forum (preferably without the http or www).

the preferred file format is png, however, any file format is fine. image resolutions shoud be:
main 357 x 300 -- banner 586 x 135 -- ok to use your intials, or member name, in lower right
corner area, keep it small, simple and not striking. show title should be used in at least one of the
images...preferably, if possible, the main image.

if you have any questions, please feel free to post them here. i will check this forum daily.

update tuesday, may 07, 2013:
as you may have heard, on irc or other forums, the eztv site admin is working on a site redesign.
the redesign will iclude some layout changes, including image size/resolution. the exact date
is unknkown, but it will be soon-ish.

so, for now, there is a temporary freeze on submitting new images.
i'll keep you posted on when we start accepting new images again 😄

or, if you see an image that you think would be a good fit for one of our show information pages but
don't have the image editing skills or editing software? paste the url here (without the http or www) in
this forum...i'm happy to do the editing.

i can resize an image, cut and move people around a bit, but overall i think this image would be very
difficult to manipulate in to the necessary aspect raitio and dimensions. i'll take a look at the other
fanop.com images, maybe there are a couple similar images that would be easier to work with.

the bright yellow in the pre-exising main image's 'go on' logo, and the smiley face coffee mug, clashed
really bad with the brownish/mustard yellow background of your banner...so i changed the yellow color
in the main image to more closely match the background of your banner so that the two images would
blend together a little better. i also added your member name to the lower right corner of your banner
(hope that's ok. if not, let me know and i'll removed it.)

i like your banner but when put side-by-side with the pre-existing main image...they were not a good
match. i really wanted to keep your banner so i looked around and found an image of similar colors
and made a new main image to go along with your banner image. then i was thinking that i would like
your banner image even more if the guys were a little higher up, and the woman in the middle was
lower so her head wasn't cut off. i searched and found the full size, high resolution, original image, cut
three of the characters out of the image, moved them around, filled in the background gaps, crop and
resized. so i used the same image, but not the exact one you provided. ;-)

aight. soon'ish, huh? 😉 so, this new redesign, will it involve recreating new images for every single tv
series listed? that's a lot of work.. 😲

at first, replacing all the currently airing shows, then returning and upcoming new shows.
last, shows that have ended.
so, yeah, lots of work. 😉
