yes indeed. we saw one episode - the one about the football hooligans - from
season 1, and decided we had to see the series from the beginning. so i d'loaded
the whole first season, and we started watching, and i realized that the shows
were a full hour, and the shows on cable were a full hour with commercials. so
we watched the show we'd already seen and the story suddenly made more sense.
beware!
2nd season, they've got more money for music, so we had gilbert o'sullivan this
time; i lived in england in 1973, and i remember how big a hit that was. we've
had some mott the hoople, but not "all the young dudes" yet. they've also got a
script supervisor who's de-mancunized the dialogue a bit, to make it more
understandable, not for north americans, they don\'t care, but for people in the
south of england. anyway, scuttlebutt has it that david kelley is making an
american version. baited breath, and all.

the episodes that i have pvr'd at least the late night version's are running
about 70 mins on bbc canada. so that to me would be about right for a 60 min no
ads show.

okay, i see on their website that they're advertising "season 2 ... uncut"
i complained about it, when i first noticed it, to the beeb and to bbc canada.
who knows, squeaky wheel and all. note that showcase have the first series
running "short" as well.
was waiting for this one!
