Subs for MKV files

hello, i'm new dealing with mkv files, and i cannot find subs for those files, i
mean, i can get subs like show.s03e09.hdtv.xvid-notv.srt or xor or lol but are
not in sync with mkv files.
hope my problem and my english is clear, any clue will be appreciated.

usually, mkv's have integrated soft subs right in the file.
try using zoom player or some other program which lets you select the audio
stream/different subs.
it also depends on what you are watching, if you think smallville will have subs
in another language 2 hours after airing, you are fooling yourself.

if its fansubbed anime you are talking about, then yes, mkv files have em built in.

why would you want subs?
