does anyone know if an hr version of this ep was released? all i've found is the
notv ep and then a 720 version (which doesn't work on my computer). i've got all
the other eps as hr and was hoping to cap it off with this last ep.

the was no hr release.
only 2 releases were:

rome.s02e10.720p.hdtv.x264-sitv
rome.s02e10.hdtv.xvid-notv

if you download the 720p version you can probably re-encode it down to 'hr' quality

no hr was released as the finale was 1h4m (something along those lines) making
the file 700mb (couldn't squeeze it into a 350 release)

so there was no need as far as i know, i could be wrong though.

thanks guys. guess i'll just download the notv version, since i don't really
mess with encoding videos.

nah, thats not why...
it's because most groups, it seems, don't like to deal with a 2cd release on an
hr.... i've only ever seen 2sd and ctu do it.
a 2cd release would put it at about 1.37 gb.

actually in this case the need for an hr is 5.1 dolby digital audio and maybe
slightly better video.

from what i\'ve seen, with rome (and other long runtime shows) the hr files are
not as good as something for a 42 min show but still better video then the 350mb
file and of course 5.1 dolby digital instead of 2.0 128k mp3
one came out for it today by a non scene encoder

and with the 720p x264 sitv release @1.07gb....

the lmg release is bitrate (video) 'starved' 1121 kb/s (compared to usual
1400+ kb/s 45min long hr releases)

a filesize between 850-900 mb would be more appropriate for the series finale
hr (1hr5mins) - this would yield a bitrate between 1400-1500 kb/s
