Lips not Matching Voice HELP!

i'm new to this and was wondering if any of you who are pro's can help me fix a
problem i keep running into while burning a show onto disc. the sound does not
sync up together? the lips and the voice are off by 2 - 5 seconds? what can be
done or what am i doing wrong? send me a message here or private if you can
help me in details.

are you encoding for dvd or just burning for divx?

i'm not sure? i'm just burning it from eztv, then using nero 7 to burn it onto
a dvd disc? but nothing is matching up when i try to watch it on my computer or
tv?

what is the difference between the two may i ask?

encoding to dvd means ur using a program such as nero vision express to create a
dvd like disc, with menu's and such, like a movie you may have. you do this so u
can play it on your dvd player connected to your tv, much like you would watch a
movie.
burning it straight to a disc using nero burning rom, or similar, is just
creating a data disc. it might be the actual files are out of sync, wich can be
a common problem with some releases. or it could be a problem in the burning
process (wich i doubt)
do they lag when you play them from ur hard disc?
do you have the correct audio codec/decoder, like ac3 filter
or if you do have ac3 filter, is it set to delay the sound?
probably all a bit much to take in a guess....

i think i'm encoding to dvd, i want to burn it from eztv to dvd so i can watch
it on my tv or computer! i use nero 7 ultra edition, with the nero vision 3 or
4 software.

it does not lag when i check it on my harddrive, but it does after it has been
burned onto dvd?

how do i check to see if i have the audio codec/decoder ac3 filter? i have no
idea if this is set correctly or if i have it at all?

the funny thing is some shows are fine and others lag alot? why would this
happen as well? also it seems to be the same shows that lag from epsiodes to
episodes and others are okay!

nerovision is crap, used to get the same problem when using it. i've had better
results with convertxtodvd.

lawl, perfect timing from aydi, giving the same advice, now u should no how good
it is.

haha i guess you dont need my help anymore? i agree that vision is crap, ive
only used it for photo slide shows, and even that is crappy... ill have to give
that other one a try myself tho, i always have mates at work askin for the tv i
dl. but havnt got the decent pc to play it on, wich is pathetic really (on their
behalf of course haha)

haha its tru, and alot of them aint even got broadband, they should be ashamed
of themselves!
