Why cant I connect to this tracker but can connect to a private

my ip address is 123.108.xxx.xxx and im using peer guardian (turned off), have my
firewall working with my open torrent port as 92. im using the latest beta of
utorrent. even if i dmz myself, i still cant connect to this tracker.

any ideas ?

port 92 is defined for npp (network printing protocol)

typically stuff below 1023 is more heavily firewalled/restricted as this is
the region where trusted system services normally reside.

some server operators will be more paranoid than others in this regard 😉

try a high port # to see if this is the problem, or just a red herring.

ok i just changed my port to 15555
still no connection. does this tracker have a block on my ip range ?

ive no problem connecting to bitsoup tracker. this is why its wierd. im trying
to log now with the utorrent client to see if any problems. put my client in
the dmz to rule out firewall issues.

if you are using utorrent and you are using any kind of router or dsl modem you
will need to go to set it for the port, but normally only if you have a static
ip set for your computer. i would try going to utorrent's faq and help pages. is
the port configured to portforward??

i turned off the firewall completely,
and enabled ping ident from wan.
also removed my own ban list.
now im seeing the tracker and some peers.
wierd.. will continue experiments to rule out the exact cause.
im using a billion 7401vgp-m router.

yes the port was configured correctly.
utorrent has a test page in the speed test section.
it passed that with the green light.

i went to download the latest ep of scifiguys and i am having the same problem
all of a sudden. never had this problem before. does anyone have any more ideas?

i disabled dht , didnt make a difference. any other ideas???

tvfan meant enable dht and you will still be able to download without being
connected to the tracker. enable "peer exchange" too
