do i need to hide my ip address?

hi all ,ok maybe a dumb question but, do i need to hide my ip address even if
i am in the uk? and if so whats the best to use ,thankyou for your info in
advance appreciated
also if i do need to hide it do you hide it all the time you use the internet
or just when downloading from here say?
and a big thankyou to all at eztv without you i wouldnt be able to see my
favourite tv shows
