yeah thats why i didn't say anything like pal would be around 400i/p with 16:9 letterbox cause i know some stations like bbc do full resolution and anamorphic 16:9 but the only anamorphic video i have seen in usa is hdlite 1280x1080 stretched to 1920x1080. really no widescreen pdtv (letterboxed or anamorphic) because those stations can all just do hdtv and choose hdtv over ws.pdtv. i don't think its to common in usa. we are a little behind europe (still using mpeg-2 instead of h264 for example). i wouldn't doubt at all that some satellite is 480x480 with 4:3 anamorphic. |
