Quality of Caph releases poor

i find the video quality of caph releases to be grainy and washed out,
compared to other groups (xor, lol). not nuke-worthy, just a significant drop
in quality.

is it just me? and if not, why are caph releases replacing the better quality
releases that used to be made from other groups?

does the first release automatically trump later releases regardless of
quality?

unless there release is nuked all releases of the same format are nuked as dupes
and slight quality difference on the 350mb rips doesn't count as a nuke, even
though sometimes it should.

i think they are a canadian release group who have been getting there first
with lost, heroes and desperate housewives when they have been shown slightly
earlier than in the us (and still considerably earlier than here in the uk) as
a result i guess they are gettin out on the scene before any of the
traditional groups. sometimes u see "internal" labelled rips, these are later
releases, available beacause of some upset with the "1st pass the post"
release that doesnt doesnt quite reach the nuke status. look out for these or
dload hr.hdtv is my answer - they are awesome quality, and as they say,
once you go hr, you dont go back!

hrhd is all well and good until i burn them onto a dvd and my dvd player can't
play the files because the resolution is too high.

oh, i thought that, too. they can be a bit iffy at times. buuuut they are free,
and on time, and most of all free.

did i mention free?

*shrugs*

if i really like something i buy it on dvd. ripped and burnt copies do not
last. my disks from 3 years ago have a high percentage of degradation. (is that
how you spell that?)
