RSS over IRC Question

so i'm not even sure if the rss over irc script is still supported here, but i'm
sure there are a few people still using it. my question is pretty simple: what
program do you use with it? tvtad and utorrent's built-in rss reader don't seem
to work with the local xml file that the script generates.

i know azureus's rss feed reader will work with it, but i am loathe to switch
back to it as azureus slows down my gaming and utorrent does not. any help
anyone could give me would be greatly appreciated. i'm hoping to get it working
in the next few days, as i may have to miss heroes this week and i want it ready
to go when i get home 🙂

good question, only copy i could dl of tvtad was the 2.1 beta (the dl link for
2.0 was timing out) and it didn't work.

could someone point me to a working dl link for tvtad 2.0 at least?

as santa said, it does update quicker. more than that, i want to be able to set
the refresh rate as low as possible without pissing off some webmaster who sees
my requests coming in every minute or less.

this isn\'t a knock against you guys, but i\'ve found that i come nowhere near my
full downstream bandwidth if i hop on a torrent even 3 or 4 minutes after it\'s
been released. in certain situations that\'s not a major problem, such as when
i\'m just grabbing something to watch again after i\'ve already watched it as it
aired. but if i\'m relying on torrents to catch something for the first time,
it\'s rather annoying for me to get home and see that it\'s not done yet. and i
have some days coming up in the next few weeks where it will be next to
impossible for me to be home when shows air and i want my downloads done when i
get home.

so that\'s my story, and i guess i\'ll keep trying to find a working copy of tvtad
in the meantime. but, if i can\'t, does anyone know how to rig utorrent so its
refresh is faster than 5 minutes? i\'ve found a way to get the rss over irc to
work with it, now i just need to speed it up a bit.
