hello, im using wireless, and a new service provider (shared house) azureus
will only download at 1kbps!!!! limewire doesnt even connect

i have turned off router firewall, im outside nat, ive opened udp (i think
thats the correct or it could be udhp...u know what im on about)

i turned off my firewall, opened different ports on my computer and forward
them to the router, basically ive opened everything and nothing from these p2p
will come through.

however, i downloaded morpheus, and that works full download speed but it
blocks all unlicensed stuff, like tv shows and music, it comes up with a red
bar and doesnt download, but normal unpirated stuff downloads (the must have
an aggreement with my isp i presume, automatic block all unlicensed stuff,
whereas limewire you can turn that off)

so!!!!!! anyone know how to get around my isp and start downloading stuff on
azureus (preferably) or limewire, or any other bittorrent perhaps, ive checked
the boards and a lot of people have a similar thing, but no answers apart from
change isp, which i cant do.

and you have checked that the majority of blocked ports from isps are in a
certain range - you have gone out of that huge range of numbers, yes?

taken from scenemachine to give you an idea.

the blocked ports list include, but is not neccessarily limited to, the
following:
direct connect 411 - 413
kazaa 1214
edonkey 4662
gnutella 6346 - 6347
bittorrent 6881 - 6889

in order to use use our tracker you must configure your client to use any port
range that does not contain those ports (a range within the region 49152
through 65535 is preferable, cf. iana). notice that some clients, like azureus
2.0.7.0 or higher, use a single port for all torrents, while most others use
one port per open torrent. the size of the range you choose should take this
into account (typically less than 10 ports wide. there is no benefit whatsoever
in choosing a wide range, and there are possible security implications).

--------------

something else to confuse you, i suppose

edit: i just saw you said you opened up every port. i can't delete this post,
so...blaaaah

is your isp on the bad ones list?

ooo. odd virgin.net (uk) are not on there.

i saw this:
note 3: download .torrents in .zip files, via https or use magnet links instead

join a private tracker, i guess. almost all their stuff is zipped.

are you using a wireless router connected to a modem?

a lot of adsl modems are one port routers. router into router doesn't work but
it can be fixed.

you need to access the modem settings and see if dhcp is on, then check your
router for the same thing. if both are on thats your problem. don't jump in and
turn anything off, you'll probably need a link to a tutorial or guide.

p.s

morpheus has a copyright filter installed.

http://www.morpheusforum.com/showthread.php?t=5676

it even offers a solution.

having two ip address subnets on the same lan is not good for port forwarding.
they end up blocking each other.

utorrent 1.7 beta uses encryption. solved traffic shaping and port blocking
with bittorrent for me. hope this helps.
