hi guys.

i always downloaded only the 700mb version of the various episodes, get 4 and
burn them with convertxtodvd into 1 dvd to watch it on the tv.

now i'd like to get the better looking version, 720p.

how do you burn this without loosing so much quality ?
will 4 episode then fit into a dvd ?

or since my dvd reads divx format, should i just copy the files over to a dvd
without touching them?

thanks for feedback.

i'd like to know an easy way to convert them to wmv-hd so i can play them using
my x360, that way i'll actually get them at 720p on the tv.

philips hts6510/12 can play tv resolutions 720p (750p) and 1080i (1125i).
i am connected through an hdmi cable to my tv that is a philips 26pf9531 and
can play at least 720p.

so yes, it can play it.

hi

i dont wanna spoil your fun but actually the philips you mention just has a
upscaler to 720p/1080i - it cant play hi-def at all. it just can read normal up
to dvd quality files (720x576).

actually if you use convertxdvd then you kinda loose the benefit of higher
quality since you reduce the resolution to make it a standart .vob and then the
upscaler in the philips just resizes it again to fill the desired resolution.
the only benefit you get is that the tv doesnt have to do any scaling and
therefore has a slightly sharper image.

but honestly if you proceed like you do then theres no sense using the 720p ones
only to downsize them to dvds. just stay with hr.

oh i see.
then i could just copy the file itself over to a dvd without converting or
anything. that'd keep the file clean and proper, right ?

:)

thanks for the help.
