i was gonna say to save it as a .png or .gif without a background so that it
will work when other css are used but i won\\\'t bother since you already mentioned
it 😛 😉
hey guys, sorry i didn't post anything else, i had a lot of work lately, but i'm
really happy that i helped at least starting with the new logo idea. the new one
looks great, i'm gonna try to create the same thing in 3d.

yeah the logo you posted before is awesome and as you can undoubtedly tell the
new one is based on concepts from this thread combined with with the old eztv
logo 🙂 it is 3d by the way, it was created in maya.
some really nice designs here guys. but, in my experience, logo's are always
reflective of the "product" (i use the term loosley here 😛 ) and contain no
more than 2 colours. if you look around at some of the greatest examples of
logo's that serve a great purpose, you'll notice this pattern. tv stations are
perfect examples. bbc, fox, abc, nbc, all great logos. with this, i designed a
simple, but (i think) effective logo.
here's the logo in two different sizes:

and here's a variation, with a little more of a "web 2.0" feel to it:

here's the same logo as a 2-tone sillouhette (the purpose here would be for
status messages, icons etc.)

hey, some nice logo's being shown here. still looking for a black/transparent
background version to go with the blackdiamond style i've added.
i quite like jppolk's or ctu_bauer's web2.0 style images. they'd look awesome on
the black style.
send me a pm with the link (just click my name above this post) 🙂
like all of the three globes, like said before it's a all about personal taste.
so why not let the people choose there logo. just like they can choose the other
css styles?
