$3.39 each aud or $4.19 for hd... that's about $13/16 (~50c saving if buy as
bundle). that's ridiculous when you can hire a movie at the video store,
averagely 90 minutes and up to 3 hours, for $6. sure, you don't have ownership
but even movie ownership is about $20-25 and this is $16 for about an hour's
worth. i'd love to support the idea but it seems a bit steep when i'm only
going to watch it once (admittedly that's my choice and i do applaud their
attitude regarding your ownership). i guess i'll see if i hear good things
before deciding whether to purchase.

regardless of any ethical argument, this 'show' sucks. i love amanda tapping,
but that doesn't change the fact that this show is doomed to failure if for no
other reason than the show itself is crap.
whether it's available anywhere for free or not, it's going to die anyway due to
it's horribly bad writing, acting, and cheesy cg everything. it doesn't matter
if it's breaking new ground or not, as the bottom line is, the show sucks.
arguing over right/wrong is wholely irrelevant in the face of it's demise due to
quality.

so, using this logic, it's ok to steal a car from a large dealership that
doesn't need the money, but it would be wrong to steal it from one that wasn't
so rich?
i really find it strange that so many people are saying 'don't download this,
but it's ok to download anything else here'.
actually, that's not true. i never said that... the fact is, i have subscribed to cable and they're not losing
any money, seeing as i just leave the room when ads come on or switch to another channel. even if i
wanted to buy these shows legally, i can't, seeing as its only operates in us. i also always buy the dvds
of the shows i watch, i don't watch shows that i don't like

ok now for some real stuff about this series, well i love stargate and amanda
tapping (the show was conceived and written by damian kindler, a former
writer-producer for stargate sg-1, and directed by martin wood.) but this is
just freaking bad first of all seen the ep 1 and got no clue what is going on or
who this people are? and i am not sure of this was the encode or not but whats
up with the blue people??
this look like a ripoff of buffy the vampire slayer and alias? i hope the 2nd ep
is better?

great show!
i bought a couple episodes from their website... in hd quality, no less! if you like this, please go
support it by purchasing the episodes, or purchase a subscription (when they start offering it).
i really would love to see more endeavors like this... to broaden our choices for scifi entertainment,
without lowering the quality. the catch is, people need to pay if we expect studios and production
companies to cater to our tastes.
from what i could tell, there was no content protection in the video file i purchased. it looked like a plain
old .mov (on a mac)... they also offered window media versions. i was thinking... that instead of normal
content protection they could actually try and add some kind of digital video watermark, for each
individual copy a customer buys, so that they could see which of their users uploaded files like this.
maybe they could automate something like that, where they could quickly insert it before they make it
available for download after purchase.
... btw, about the comment on currency differentiation... i\'m sure they\'ll work that out. they\'re using
paypal, so i bet it\'s possible to do within the confines of their system.

the price is 1.89. it's 1.89 in irrespective of the currency involved.
so if someone in the us buys it they pay us$1.89, but someone in the uk will pay

i totally agree with the concept and eztv's support of this project, however, i find 1.89 for 15 minutes a
little steep. i can go to itunes and elsewhere and buy an hour program for $1.99. the whole hour is
going to cost me $8.00 - i can rent a two hour movie on line for that amount of money. look, i'm a full
supporter of the avante garde, new expressions, new ideas and tech, but this seems a little steep to me,
and i can well afford to pay it.

i'm really enjoying this.
i did leech the hd version of the first episode here, but i've already bought
episode 2, and i'll be buying the rest.
the cg scenes are a bit weird (sometimes the aspect ratio or the lighting or the
rain seems a little off, or the creatures look a little plasticy) but it's got
it where it counts.
:)
(btw, is anyone else laughing at how michael-shanks-alike the male protagonist
is? i swear they look almost identical from some angles.)
(hm. these forums need to fix their quote escaping. the escaped quote ends up in
the text in the preview, so it winds up adding "\" to the output if you
submit/preview again)

well this show is pretty bad i must admit, but i found it to be watchable.
bit of a hellboy, just replacing the deamons with folklore monsters and old
school villains. "samantha carters" , i forget her real name, british accent is
lol bad.
the show is entertaining though. doesn't seem to take itself too seriously.
that's a plus.

intresting concept but the material is so poor (script, cgi...), the very short
runtime add's to annoyance and i for one wont be paying to watch these episodes.

well, i've just bought the hd bundle through the site, at no point during the
account creation did it ask where i was from and when i went to paypal it was
saying us$8.75. it stayed that way even when i logged in and it then had my
uk billing address, so i don't know what these other people are going on
about; have they simply seen that the sanctuary site simply says "8.75" and
assumed it's quoting their local currency?

is it me or is the coloring all fubar? it looks like windows in safe mode with
only a few colors . look at 3:18 at his face/beard or at 4:04 at his
upperarm and there are other examples.
and that's besides the bad green-screen shots. i mean, how hard is it to find
a real alley to shoot. i'm talking about where they get out of the subway
tunnel and amanda is shining her flashlight into the camera (13:58).
and i also agree with the price being a bit too high. even though it's hd (but
you wouldn't know from just watching it) you pay about $ 5.00 for what a
normal ep would be (42 min.)
