Prison Break to Sky One

for those of you who won't have realised, this could also get rid of the
split-season dvd sets for prison break. lost season 3 is expected to be released
complete in one go.

i believe it has something to do with broadcast differences from sky to the
other channels. channel 4 and five have always been a month or two behind the us
with both lost and prison break, and therefore studios have released the
split-season dvd to keep interest (and to fill their pockets!!). now that
they're on sky, they're airing just a couple weeks after the us and therefore
there's no need for split-season releases.

i've always said prison break should be a sky one show - it's too big for five.

oh and another channel 4 fuck up - smallville. yet to premiere, but that isn't
going to put warner bros. off. a booklet in the supernatural s2p1 release stated
that season 6 will be released on dvd in the uk in october. looks like channel 4
fucked with wb, so wb are gonna release the dvd anyway and fuck with their
ratings. justice!

as much as i like to see alot of tv coverage/exposure for my favourite shows
(lost, 24, prison break etc.) -- nothing beats bittorrent. sky one could show
'24' or 'lost' on the same night as the us, but you'd still find me on here
downloading the release and picking up the dvd's at the end of the season to pay
my dues (save for '24' season 6 which was--to be fair--abysmal.)

as for sky, good on them; they're making wise decisions and i anticipate they'll
have heroes off the beeb' by season 3 at the latest.

edit: on a slightly related matter, is there a uk channel who has the show
'psych' yet? i haven't been able to hear anything -- it's a decent show and i'm
sure it would follow suit over here, in the same manner as many other us imports
have.

yeah i'll be on here getting the torrents as well, no matter what, and i'll
always get the dvds when they're out.

heroes makes its initial run on sci fi uk ;-) it's their biggest show by far!
repeats are on the beeb. i expect also that sky will knick that for s3!

as for pysch ... not that i've heard, sadly. i want the dvd!! might just get a
region 1 import, as i cba to wait till it airs here then another couple months
for the dvd!!!

yes, psych is airing in the uk, as we speak, its on 'hallmark'.

they have already started airing episodes.

they also show 'jericho' and the brilliant 'intelligence'

as hunty stated "psych" is showing on the hallmark channel. they show it at 7pm
on fridays and is currently about halfway through the series. also, incase any
didn't know, "dexter" will soon be airing in the uk on the fx channel so keep
your eyes open for a start date.

apparantly dexter will be airing on sundays starting sometime in july.

lol that goes to show hallmark's advertising! never heard a thing about psych
lol knew about jericho though!

to be honest - while prison break may have been too big for channel 5, they
made a wise decision in letting sky take it. clearly sky would have outbid
them anyways - but to let them have season 3 is no big thing anyways because
just like lost - its starting to lose the plot and viewers so it doesnt really
matter anyways. if sky were smart enough - they would snap these shows from
the beginning but clearly nobody at sky is smart enough to spot a good show
when they see one which is why they have to chase after, using the cheque book!

and yet it works for them yes?
perhaps that are smarter then you presume, and you are not giving them the
credit they deserve?
