Audio issues??

recently, several episodes that i've downloaded from eztv have had audio that is
slightly out of sync. generally, when this happens, i can find a repack or a
proper, but that has not been the case with the last few episodes.

this has led me to conclude one of a few things:

1) the quality control of the eztv cappers/rippers have dropped. they've been so
good in the past that i don't believe that this is the most probable one, which
leads me to...

2) it's a codec issue. i'm using the 2/22/2007 version of cccp. is anyone else
using this version having the same problems? is anyone using this version not
having these problems? because if so, then it is probably...

3) an issue with my computer. i'm hoping this isn't the case, though, because it
would mean very bad things for me.

edit: i just checked... there's a new version of cccp (7/22/2007). will try
installing that and checking, but feedback is still appreciated.

thing is, i don't need xvid with cccp, and i detest vlc (well, maybe not detest,
but i like mpc better because it is so much simpler, though i really don't have
anything against vlc itself). plus the fact that cccp includes support for mp4,
ogm, and mkv files, the only reason to use xvid would be if you don't use those
files at all, which may be the case for some eztv watchers, but not for me.

anyway, i don't know why, but installing the latest cccp fixed the issue, so if
you're using the 2/22/07 version of cccp, and you are having issues, i recommend
upgrading.
