my friend,
we need just a little more information in order to help you.

what program are you using to download?
have you been through eztv\'s \'good links and tips for newbies\'?
what is the torrent you are trying to download?

you do realize that you have to wait for the torrent program to finish
downloading the file???

hi thank you for your answers, you do realize, that one of the hardest things
to do it to communicate what is wrong, not knowing the terminology of torrents
or computers, i feel like a fuddle. okay, here goes, i am unable to download oh
lets say jekyyl,, my usual routine of logging on to eztv, picking out the
episode, clicking the (1) this would take me to a box, asking if i wanted to
open or save, i would click open, this would take me to the actual downloading
of the episode, the name of the show, the speed, seeds etc. at this point i
would get the little torrents icon in my bottom bar. this is not happening, i
am not being directed to the downloading process, instead, a box comes on that
asks me what type of program i want to use, (never happened before) my choices
were adobe.7 , internet exp. media player, (which i use to watch the episode)
etc. this is where i am freezing, i picked adobe.7 it says adlobe reader
couldnt open 490-utorrent.6ef.2.dmp because it is either not a supported file
type or the file has been damaged, and i am going around in circle, but bottom
line is...i can not download the episode, there i did the best i can do
explaining it and surely hope someone will help me, i thank you so much, leelee

sounds like your download client is not working (the program that actually
downloads the torrent). aydin is right. utorrent is the smallest and easiest
to use client. if you install this, then when you get stuck, there are plenty
of people here that will be able to help you.

it sounds to me that you are trying to open and watch the torrent when you
select the file. when it asks what program you want to use, you have to enter
the download client name (like azureus or utorrent). then the file will start
downloading.

you can download utorrent for free at www.utorrent.com , they even provide
a really small stand-alone version (no install required) that you can run from
your hard-drive, or portable device.

good luck!
