hi,

thanks to the admins and the seeders with more bandwidth than me. i use transmission on a mac and
some torrents (seems random) don't start downloading, while others do. example, i just dled damages
with no problem but when i load up mad men to start downloading, it won't connect with any seeds. it's
got tons of seeds (and more seeds than leeches) i've tried it with a bunch of other files uploading, and i've
paused all my uploads and there's no difference on either end. any idea as to what i'm doing wrong?

not sure if this option is available in transmission on mac (although it should
be), but try increasing the amount of available connections you can receive,
seems like people don't have enough to "give", if that makes sense.

if that doesn't work, i have heard that azureus works the best on mac's. so
maybe change your client.

and yet again, santabj has the correct answer.

...sell your mac and get a real pc.

seems like the most viable, logical and sensible option 🙂

hmm, anyway back on topic... yea azureus is the best client for macs. its a very heavy app but its got all
the options you need and i've never had that problem you're having with it.

i used to use tomato but i had a similar issue with that, with some torrents, arbitrarily having connection
errors and stupidly slow speeds - tried azureus and tada, back in action. never tried transmission but if
azureus resolves your issue then at least you've got the cause narrowed down

plus, if you use azureas, then you will have the added bonus of having people
here that will be able to more readily help you! 🙂
