in my installation of perrguardian i have a file called 'history.dat' or
'history.db' or soemthing to that effect anyway, and its over 5 gigs in size.
does anyone know if it is a self re-generating file ? ( ie if i delete or rename
it will it create itself again ? ).

its taking a lot of space on my hard disc.

thks

open peerguardian, click on "view history" (top right, window opens) -> "file"
-> "clear database", be patient. clearing 5 gigs (you're running peerguardian
for a long, long time... 😉 will take some minutes.

turn off logging of allowed connections, they are the reason the history-file
grows so large.

i think i'll just manually delete it. when i tried the 'clear database' option
last night i get an error - i think it couldn't clear a 5 gig file. i just
wasn't sure if you manually deleted the file, it re-generated itself.

cheers
