ac3 ? help pls

i have downloaded a torrrent in the past that wouldn't play because it needed
some ac3 decoder...was this just a fake torrent hoping i would go to the site
and download the codec thus whatever comes down with it..still have torrent on
pooter but haven't been game to do anything about it as i'm such a novice with
this stuff
would appreciate any advice about these type of files

step 1. install the ac3 codec.
step 2. that's pretty much it. your problem is solved.

just curious ... any particular reason you didn't try google ?
(or other search engine of your choice)

the first 3 hits are direct download links, the 4th is a wikipedia article
telling you everything you need to know about about ac3.

for starters he is a she...i did google it and didn\'t want to proceed till i had
asked for some advice...there\'s so many fakes with viruses out there that it
pays to be sure...and it\'s because of immature responses like yours (god) that
people don\'t like asking for help....tell me god what\'s it like to be such a

just use common sense when evaluating sources of information.

if you say so, it must be true right? wrong. some person says he's a girl
online and he must be right?! don't be naive.

if you did google it as you claim, then you did not need to bother asking. but
i know some people who are untrusting of sites as well so i guess i can
understand a little. my response isn't immature though.. you're both useless
and lazy. useless because obviously you had to ask for help on something you
could've find online and lazy because you eventually had to ask here for help
even though this is technically online too so what makes you think you can trust
here?

ac3 filter and media player classic works great

however i had issues with v1.46 (instant crash) but 1.11 worked good

false god, this is eztv... what could possibly be accomplished
from saying your a girl when your not?

i don't know about others but i really don't have any problems with viruses and
i download all sorts of stuff. it doesn't seem like viruses are much of an issue
on http sites.
i do have nod32 opened but only running half the time

for what its worth, the k-lite mega codec pack is ideal for xp installs and includes all codecs including
ac3, for vista users there is the vista codec pack, which also includes ac3.
think they are both available from free-codecs site.

to get info from those who have been there and done that...as for god only a
real prig would call themselves that
