Access Denied? Help Needed - Forums - EZTV

i have not downloaded anything almost all summer but i just tried to start a
torrent and after a few seconds it stopped with an access denied message. i
also tried another torrent from eztv a few days ago with the same result. this
is in utorrent by the way. did something change with eztv in the last few
months? i am sorry if this has been asked before but i didn't see any stickies
that looked like it had the answers.

i download the torrent from eztv (btchat/mini nova) and it starts inside of
utorrent. it runs for about 10 seconds then the a red box with an x appears
next to the torrent name in my que and under the status column it says access
denied insead of downloading/uploading. this only happens with torrents from
eztv btw.

i'm starting to think maybe my isp (time werner) is doing something.

it doesn't seem right that your isp would block just the eztv tracker.

what torrents, specifically, are you having this problem with?

the 'back to you' torrent, the show with kelsy grammar. i also had the problem
with another torrent last week. i cannot remember which one. i primarily use
demonoid and one or two other sites and those torrents are working fine. it is
as if eztv is acting like a membership site but only for me.

still did not work. i just realized the only thing that has changed between
the time i was not downloading is that i built a new system, but that should
not affect anything.

i'm gonna try putting ut in another directory (that might be what you meant in
teh first place). but i'll do it in the morning, sleep time for me.

i'll give that a try tomorrow as well, but i'm curious why i am only having
difficulty with eztv torrents. i might not be running the program as admin, i
will also try that.

in that picture, you left off one of the most important parts, which is the
\"tracker status\" in the details area.

besides that, it is definitely something on your system, not eztv or it\'s
trackers that is causing the problem.

yes, now that i see nothing has changed with eztv over the summer i believe it
is on my end and that it has to do with vista. i'm gonna mess with it
tomorrow. but i still can't wrap my head around why i am only having issues
with eztv but not demonoid. i'm sure all the things you guys suggested will
iron it out.

i will update tomorrow. and thatnk you for all the suggestions and patience.

as already stated you cant write to a drives root (eg c:\) all torrents from
demonoid have at least 2 files so they usualy come in a directory that ut
creates for you thus you don't write to the root anymore.

please help!!!

i download most of it but now it says error.
critical: aborting the torrent as it was rejected by the tracker while not
connected to any peers. message
from the tracker:unregistered torrent.

also i start downloading greys anatomy and it says error 61 connection refused.

what can i do?? i don't have firewall or anything like that.

any ideas?? i'm so close to watch prison break!!!

i tried to delete everything and download tthe other file from mininova or the
bigger size files but it says
the same.
