its been going on for about a week now. after hours of "downloading", can't get
more then 2% dl'ed. all files usually show 0 kbps dl speed. the most i've seen
is is about 4kbps and usually only lasts for a few seconds. time left usually
reads 99:99:99.

i read the newbie guide as well as a bunch of other posts. i've added trackers,
have dht enabled and upgraded to a newer version of bitcomet (i know you suggest
other torrent clients but have never had problems with this program in the
past). i also did the port forwarding for the listen ports even though i didn't
have to before. net connection is fine (fast using multiple other web related
apps, chat, browsing, games etc.).

i've stopped using other programs while its going on, still no luck.
i know demonoid got shut down, no idea if that matters.

i know you guys said to be patient but it has been happening to all shows at all
times after a release. at this rate, it would take about a week to get one show.

i am confused why its so bad.
will try to be patient but this is pretty bad, please help.

something sounds seriously wrong! even with the trackers down, we are still
getting our eps.

problem sounds to be from your client. but many of us here use az or utorrent,
so you may have to wait a while for someone to help you with bitcomet. if you
have done everything else, that's the only thing i can think of. i don't think
patience will help you in this case 😉

demonoid down makes no difference to our d/l's.

good luck!

try utorrent and see if improves.
had the same problem with azureus and switching to utorrent sorted it.
if that does not help your isp shaping u might be the problem.

yeah, i switched to utorrent after the first reply. while i wasn't getting near
the speeds i was a week ago with bitcomet before these problems, still got my
eps within a day so i'm not complaining. (the people who talk about getting 1.5
mps....jeezus, never..how do you get those speeds, i've never gone over maybe
175kbps on my best day)

thanks for the replys everyone...by by bitcomet, another 2 year relationship
done with.

generally they are fairly popular torrents (lots of seeds and leachers). i also
have "high speed" (in quotes cause all companies advertise as "high speed
internet") cable internet and have achieved 350+ kbps from a number of sites.

currently i am having similar problems with utorrent but still not as bad as
before with bitcomet. will take about 2 days to get las vegas, stargate atlantis
and numbers if i ran the program constantly but it seems to cut off my web
browsing when its (utorrent) running so thats not a real option. getting
anywhere from zero to 5 kbps max but usually around 0.8kbps. i managed however
to get the it crowd in about 8 hours which might not be acceptable for most
people but i can live with that.

will mess around with trackers and ports a bit more see if anything changes.
again, if anyone has had similar problems and knows how to fix it (net not
working at all while running utorrent), would appreciate advice.

i'll keep chugging away and hope it magically fixes it self as well

yeah, i'm using xp sp2 and did increase the tcp/ip limit after i first started
having problems over a week ago. also, as said before, have been adding
trackers as i find them (side note, is there a way to add trackers to the
utorrent program itself rather then adding them individually to each file
download, also does any have a good webpage to go to that generally has a list
of good public trackers?).

web browsing seems to be working while using utorrent again...not sure whats
going on.

two possibilities that my isp has started blocking me from trackers periodically
(no idea if they do that) and that i am in a university town and the student
poulation is back eating bandwidth in general. i did just do a speed test and
got a 3mb per second average so who knows.

for las vegas it says all the istole and piratebay trackers are working and i'm
getting under 1 kbps, numbers should be done by today and stargate looks like it
will take a couple of days.

i am constantly double checking everthing, port forwarding, trackers, net speed.

if i ever definitely find out what the (main) problem is, guarantee i'll be
posting it.

slower downloads could be because of all the shows returning and
the trackers
being extremely swamped.

you could try adding additional trackers.

you can find some of them in the admins section in the tips thread.

really? the downloads dont come from the trackers so i wouldnt have thought that
would affect the download speeds too much.

diffy, your isp is probably using traffic shaping, which is giving torrents a
low priority. your speed test looks better cos ht tp is given a high priority.

try changing your port to 443 with encryption "forced" and uncheck "allow
legacy connections"
, it may help.

have you changed "net.max_halfopen" to 40(ish) within utorrent? that will fix
the web browsing problem you had.
