i do not think i will bother then.

let us just hope one day soon (especialy with all the other comic to movie
conversions over the past few years) some film does the flash, gordon justice.

close, but no cigar.

flash gordon started as a comic strip in the early 1930's(predating superman,
most comic heroes wee just regular men in unusual situations). there was was
always flash, dale, dr. zorkov, and "ming the merciless" on mongol.

became a movie house serial in the late thirties, and was followed by many re-
tellings, like, say, robin hood.

the inhabitants of mongol have 'themes' the hawkmen or 'daktyls' in this
telling represent the air. the "verden" represent the ground. if they follow
the usual template, look for something to represent water.

flash unites these people to:
1 find his father, dr. gordon and
2.defeat ming (eventually)
how soon #2 happens will depend on whether the series is renewed.

no, he's not. the very first flash gordon was printed as a comic strip; it was
called: "on the planet mongo" (1/7/34 to 4/8/34). that's 1934.

the flash (re: not gordon) first appeared in the golden age flash comics #1
(jan. 1940) superman first appeared in action comics #1 (june 1938).

as you can see, he was correct in saying that gordon pre-dates superman, and he
was also correct in that he did not confuse the two flashes.

so you could say that superman stole some of the ideas of super human powers
from flash gordon.

stopped this within the 1st 15 mins....

for a show plenty of people dont like, you sure give it a lot of attention by

the show will have 22 episodes this season, they are currently filming episode
15 i believe and from what i've been told, filming continues right through till
christmas but i'm not sure if it goes on to the new year.

if i were scifi i would move flash gordon to the 4am slot, hope no one notices
and fire the person that approved it. this is horrible and that it takes a
prime time slot is criminal. the best idea would be just to payoff the contract
and delete all copies.

watch the episodes at x2 speed... that way...

1... yes, he does run fast, and

2... 22 episodes in the time it takes to watch 11...

robin hood is a retelling of flash gordon ? robin hood has been around for
hundreds of years genius
