it's dangerous to just tell him to change the extension.. what if it was
originally a .rar file and someone named it as .xvid? or worst yet.. it's a
virus?
elbarto.. this is what you need to know. xvid is a codec. usually they are
used to play .avi files. if you see a file with extension .xvid.. then tread
carefully because the file has a chance of being malicious.
all that being said though.. i think you must mean "how do you play xvid files"
as in you probably saw the xvid in the filename and not as an extension. and
i'm not trying to come off as being specific or anything.. it's just that there
are malicious files out there (though i haven't seen ones with .xvid
extensions) and just want to cover all the bases.
wow imzadi agreed with god? cannot believe this green snow
tomorrow.
i know, has hell frozen over?
btw, i liked the explanations both of you provided so much, i'm incorporating
them into a tutorial file i'm putting together for my parents so they too can
enjoy their favorite shows on the go. thanks!
oh, come on guys!! give them a break. they are trying so hard to be nice to
each other as well as others. if we give them too much shit, they'll return to
their normal nitro and glycerine routine.
