i used to be automatically logged in whenever i visit eztv, but not so since
yesterday.
i removed all the cookies (so that eztv would make a new one) but that didn't
do the trick.
has eztv stopped using cookies or am i doing something else wrong.
btw, i use vista and ie 7 (and please don't tell me using these is wrong 🙂).

unfortunately, that website is useless, as it does'nt fix the problem with
eztvefnet.org site.

perhaps i tried to be too witty. let me try again.

no amount visiting that website corrects the in-site(!) problem here. please
note that the site here was working just fine, until a little while ago. i
would prefer seeing a fix for website, instead of changing os or browser every
time some small malfunction appears on some site(s).

cooler it works for me so is not the site...

well, no updates or configuration changes made here, so the changes must be at
the other end, because autologin broke at some point. deleting cookies or
logout/login sequence does not help either. oh, well... i must get used to few
more mouse clicks.

congratulations! you win the contest "how low can you go" by pointing out a few
grammar mistakes someone made by using foreign language after long period
without sleep. now... as you have no solution to topic problem, please go away.

it's only a contest if i actually have an opponent =p

it's not necessary to revisit the topic. just read the posts over again.. it's
understandable if you didn't understand it the first time.. you're foreign
after all.

cooler, i dont use ie anymore but it must have something to do with your cookie settings..

internet explorer 7

1. in the menu bar, select: tools > internet options > privacy tab
the privacy settings box appears.
2. drag the slider down to accept all cookies.
3. click ok to close internet options.
4. close all web browsers.
5. open a new browser.

---------------------------------------------------------------

internet explorer 6

1. in the menu bar, select: tools > internet options > privacy tab > advanced.
the advanced privacy settings box appears.
2. in the cookies section, choose override automatic cookie handling.
3. under first-party cookies, select accept.
4. under third-party cookies, select block.
5. select always allow session cookies.
6. click ok to close the advanced privacy settings box.
7. click ok to close internet options.
8. close all web browsers.
9. open a new browser.

note: after doing the above, you might have to login one more time to
have your session cookie saved.

win2k + ie6.x here. cookies accepted, eztvefnet is on my "trusted sites"
list. it's been that way ages (read: months+) and as i mentioned earlier, no
settings has been changed here. that strongly suggests that something actually
has been changed in web site, because autologin has been working just fine for
months (needing only one manual login per month!), until some days ago.

somehow it's like cookies are now handled only "per session", so closing
browser window(s) closes the last session and forces manual login at next
visit. login information is still stored in wps, but manual login is required
either via keyboard or with couple of extra mouse clicks.

uh, oh... after several days, autologin seems to be working again! still
nothing changes at this end, so i wonder what the problem was...
