word came out yesterday that nbc picked up the full season studio 60. anyone
that isn't watching this show and likes television seriously needs to give it a
chance. great writing and a great cast--very smart and funny as well. and it
gives you a new way of looking at tv shows in general. good stuff--hbo-level
quality.

heroes is the other new show that i've adopted. good fun, but all-in-all studio
60 is my favorite new show.

any other opinions? i tried a couple of the fox shows and nbc comedies and
nothing really warrented a look at episode 2.

great news! very glad to hear it.
i concurr, probably the best new show. last ep may have been the best one yet,
looking forward to the concluding part.

heroes: gradually getting better...was expecting so much more. this show was
supposed to bring comic book heroes to life. so far i think they haven't made
the most of the opportunity. plot seems tenous at best and the characters
aren't nearly as developed as one would hope. did get goosebumps when nathan
flew, special effects side is good.

jericho: interesting premise...seems to be going downhill fast. performance
from cast seem to becoming more and more forced, some characters are downright
irritating. hope they can turn it around and find some interesting avenues to
explore in a post-apocalyptic world in a half way competent manner.

the nine: gave up about 3 episodes in, just realised i couldn't care less why
or how the bloody bank had been robbed...how are they planning on drawing this
out for even a single season? painfully i suppose.

friday night lights: surprise hit! thought this would be terrible...but so far
so good. not the teeny bopper sensational garbage i thought they'd come out
with.

other shows, not worth mentioning! they let some real crap get produced,
beggars belief. all the while cancelling or threathening to cancel the few
good shows!

as for continuing shows, zeus help me, but im still watching lost, dont ask me
why!!!?? prison break is also getting tedious after a great first season.
bones finished last season on a high, second season seems promising but i'm
sure they could find a way to fluff it all up. house, a shining beacon of tv
broadcasting, remains excellent as always.

i agree 100% on heroes. i almost didn't watch ep2, but it has been better
recently. my wife has also started looking forward to it after the last couple
of episodes.

i'm liking men in trees. once you know the characters its pretty good. quirky
and has some good humor. now i was never an anne henche fan, but this show was
made for her i think 😉

also, standoff is growing on me. not quite in the same class as criminal minds,
but again, it grows on you. the writing has gotten better as the series goes on.

dexter! now you gotta have a strong stomach for that one, for language as well,
but that too has become one i just can't miss. its different thats for sure.
the guy who plays dex is sooo well cast. would love to know what hes really like.

i was getting into six degrees as well. bummed out that it seems to have been
taken off the air for a new beginning in jan 07. good casting in that one too.

well theres my two cents worth 🙂

justice and jericho are the only news ones i'm still watching. jericho is
currently on the edge of whether i'm going to keep watching it or not. the
whole farm town thing is annoying, as are a lot of the characters. doubt i'll
keep watching it.
justice - i really enjoyed the first 6 episodes. love how the real crime is
shown at the end of the episode. for some reason, the last 2 episodes were
subpar in my opinion. maybe it's because i was really tired when i watched
them, i dunno. i will definetely keep watching it though, it would take a lot
to make me stop.
i just gave up on six degrees after learning that it was going to be delayed
until jan 07. it's obvious that it's going to be cancelled, i'd rather not
waste my time.
note: i started out watching maybe 10 new shows, and they were either
cancelled or i stopped watching them.

justice is "on hiatus" now, probably cancelled. what about brian is getting a
full season.
from tv.com -

"the networks giveth, the networks taketh away.

fox has taken the jerry bruckheimer-produced justice off its schedule, the
network said today. production on the show will wrap after the 13th episode is
filmed, with no word on whether those remaining episodes will be aired.

justice had been shuffled around the schedule after finding going tough in its
wednesday 9 p.m. time slot. fox will rerun house in the show's current spot,
monday's at 9 p.m.

fox may opt to put justice online. earlier in the season, nbc wrapped production
on its drama kidnapped and pulled the show from the schedule. now, nbc is making
the remaining unaired episodes available on the web. yesterday, cbs announced it
would put the unaired episodes of its quickly canceled ray liotta show smith on
its innertube site.

abc announced it has ordered the remaining nine episodes of drama what about
brian, making it a full season for the romantic drama. brian comes from lost and
felicity creator j.j. abrams.

today also marked the announcement by nbc that it was giving troubled studio 60
on the sunset strip a full-season order. the cw also extended veronica mars and
one tree hill by three episodes apiece. "

smith
seemed like a show that had potential for the 3 episodes that i saw aired. not
sure whats happening to it though. according to tvrage, cbs has pulled smith
from the schedule but has not officially come out to say its been cancelled.
we'll see what happens, heres the quote and link to the source:

"smith pulled from schedule, not canceled yet.
cbs has apparently pulled smith from the schedule for an undetermined amount
of time, but did not officially come out to say the series was canceled. so
far, it is not set to air for the rest of october. here is what has been
decided so far."

every day we tell you guys not to trust tv.com, as it is always wrong!..
(tvrage.com steals their info from tv.com, and so does epguides.com)
the only reliable source is the futon critic... i mean fuck guys.. tfc posts the
official press releases from the networks as their news.. how much more
official information do you want??

http://www.thefutoncritic.com/showatch.aspx?id=smith

it was confirmed as cancelled way back on october 6th.. do try and keep up... in
fact... some of the cast has already found new work on other new shows!!..
johnny lee miller for example is filming a new drama called "eli stone"..

yeah elistian, i watched the lastest jericho episode, definetely exciting!
although the ice thing was dumb. i didn't know about justice getting put on
hiatus, i thought it had pretty good ratings.

krypto holy shit man, calm the fuck down. sorry we're all not as up to date as
you on the latest tv news.

nate5: yea that ice thing was kinda weird, but good to know incase you ever
need to make ice in a emergency like that lol.

oh and i also forgot about "shark". another show ive actually been enjoying
lately. i also forgot to metion "the nine". the first episode seemed good
since it covered the bank robbery but after that it went down hill fast. who
the fuck cares about there lives after lol. cant believe a show like that
played a role in getting surface, invasion and threshold cancelled so it could
be aired lol.

i havent seen men in tree's but im downloading s01e01 now, we'll see how it
goes.
