cropping

the latest law & order ci is very cropped, it even touched the ctv logo now...

i started noticing the cropping a few months the 1st time, sometimes it's not cropped, but a lot of the
shows are cropped 5-10%... am i the only one noticing this trend??? i don't like this, i like to view the
whole frame as it was intended...

are you playing on a stand alone connected to a 16:9 tv?

cause tv's do this dumb thing called overscan where it over crops the picture a
good ammount, which is why i play stuff on my pc which is adjusted to show the
full frame and not overcrop anything (except maybe a pixel or 2 on the right)
