tivo is not available for satellite tv on my country, only for cable, so i'm
stuck recording tv on my computer with windvr3, i have no complains it works
great, but now i want to use divx not only mpeg.
all american shows shared on eztv and other sites are encoded in ".avi"
averaging 175 megs for half hour shows, 300+ megs for hour long shows and 700+
megs for 2 hour shows, we all know that, and they have great sound and video.
i wonder if an actual capper of american shows, from any group, could share
with us the name of the software (if any is used) and the divx/xvid actual
settings required for a quality standard caption/encoding or conversion.
or at least a link to where we can find factual info from actual caption
groups.
i know this information would be greatly appreciated by many amateur
captioners as myself.
***to all readers, please refrain from posting missinformed opinions
(otherwise called, "what works for you") or outside the subject comentaries,
to keep this thread witn only factual responses might be very usefull for
all***
(thanks and sorry for my english, not my first language)
